Taxi from Kilimanjaro airport to Arusha

Question

I land in a few days at Kilimanjaro airport around 6pm. What is the price of a taxi from the airport to Moshi? (I was given a quote of $40) Is that ok? Also, are there any other alternatives for me? I’m a solo female traveller and carrying just one piece of small luggage.

    Airport taxi’s charge $50 -$70 from JRO to Moshi, depending on your hotel. So $30 is a good price.  If you are using Precision Air or Air Tanzania; they have shuttles available for $5 per person.
